Pool & Tennis Rules


Pool Rules

For the safety and well-being of all members and guests,

the following rules and any verbal directions from pool staff must be obeyed at all times.

 

  • Allowed in the main pool:

          Coast Guard approved flotation devices; noodles; dive rings. 

  • Pool use is limited to members in good standing and paid guests.
  • No Colonies resident may enter the pool as a guest.
  • Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No diving where indicated on the pool deck.
  • No glass containers, including bottles, are allowed in the pool area.
  • Life Guards are not responsible for children in the wading pool.
  • The wading pool is restricted to children 5 years of age or younger.
  • Children using the wading pool must be supervised by an adult inside the fence surrounding the wading pool.
  • Swim diapers and rubber pants are required for infants and untrained children.
  • No smoking in the pool area.

Note: Additional rules are posted around the pool and available from the pool management and lifeguard staff.

Pool Hours

 
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Note: The pool will close at 4:00 p.m. for all home swim meets.

Pool Guest Fees

The pool guest fees for 2011 are $5 per day per guest with a maximum fee of $20 per day per family.

Tennis Court Rules

  • Only CSTC members and their guests may use the tennis courts.
  • No resident of the Colonies who is not a member of the club may enter as a guest for tennis.
  • Reservations may be made at the sign up sheet not more than one day in advance of play except for events scheduled by the club. Courts may be reserved for up to 1 hour for singles play and 2 hours for doubles. A 10 minute grace period will be allowed before forfeiting the court.
  • The tennis courts are off limits to everyone unless they are playing tennis. The lone exception is Wall Ball, only if someone does not need the court to play tennis, and if the game of Wall Ball does not interfere with people playing tennis on the adjacent court. Wall Ball must be played with a tennis ball.
  • No bikes, skateboards, roller-blades, etc., are allowed on the courts.
  • No glass containers are allowed on the courts.
  • Tennis shoes and shirts must be worn at all times.
