2012 COLONIES COACHING STAFF

TBA

Important Information

TeamPages  - TeamPages will be the main way coaches and the swim team members communicate.  If you were on the Colonies Swim Team TeamPages group last year, you should be a continuing member and should continue to receive relevant team communications.   If you are a new swim team family, please visit http://www.teampages.com/ and complete the registration.  Once the moderator matches your email to your registration email and your registration is complete, you will be added to the Colonies Swim Team TeamPages.  If you have difficulty with registration for TeamPages, or have other TeamPages questions, please contact Chris McCracken (ColoniesSwimClub@gmail.com).

Volunteer meet shifts - Generally, families are required to work four meet shifts.  It is possible to work less than four meet shifts.  Please see the "Ways to Reduce Your Volunteer Shift Requirement" information included herein.  It is preferred that families work all three home meets and one away meet.  However, if this is not feasible due to meets you must miss, please sign up for as many different meets as you can.

Swapping Volunteer Shifts - If you need to swap a volunteer shift after initial registration, please use TeamPages and find someone to switch shifts.  Once you finalize the switch, please contact Martha Gilg, Volunteer Coordinator, through TeamPages and inform her of the switch.
Bring your spirit and your enthusiasm. Looking forward to another terrific Summer!!!

Parent Service Hours:

Summer swim season only works with parent volunteers. Each family needs to participate in volunteer activities to help make the season a success.

Parents are needed to participate in the following ways:

Volunteer meet shifts - the general rule is each family must volunteer for 4 meet shifts; preferable all three home meets and one away meet.  Please see the chart herein for ways to reduce these shift requirements.

o       Families with at least 1 swimmer over the age of 8, please consider signing up for second half shifts for at least half of your shift requirements.  Though this is not mandatory this year, it would be greatly appreciated by many families with only age 8 and under swimmers.

?        Swim-a-thon: If your swimmer participates in the Swim-a-thon, please consider assisting during that event.  It will count towards you team event requirement.  If you sign up for Swim-a-thon assistance, you are expected to assist with this event even if your swimmer cannot swim last minute.
